The following databases are provided for all students and employees of Prince William County Public Schools and are accessible both at school and through remote access. The login information is provided. Some schools may use a site-specific ID and password so be sure to check with the librarian for more information if you are school-based. Also, check with your librarian to see if there are additional databases to which the school subscribes.

Combines an easy-to-use search interface with full-text and multimedia reference essentials.

Databases contain current newspaper and journal articles for K-12 students.

Gale Opposing Viewpoints In Context
Updated daily. Provides full text access to differing points of view on current social issues. Brings together viewpoint articles, contextual topic overviews, government and organizational statistics, biographies of social activists, court cases, profiles of government agencies and special interest groups, newspaper and magazine articles, as well as links to more than 1,800 reviewed and subject-indexed web sites.
World Book Online, Discover, and Early World of Learning
Contains World Book Kids (Student Discovery Encyclopedia), World Book Online Reference Center (including Spanish encyclopedia), and World Book Advanced (279,000 primary documents and 5,500 ebooks). Discover is for differentiated instruction and offers a variety of reference resources. Early World of Learning is a database for young readers and researchers (PreK+).
