PKMS F.O.R Club meeting is in the books. We are now ready to begin to make
Parkside and our community the best it can be. And we need YOUR help to
make this happen.
To start a
chain reaction of kindness & MAKE A CHAIN OF KINDNESS
A CAN FOOD
DRIVE (goal is to collect 8,581 no perishable items) to honor Rachel,
8/5/81 is her D.O.B
Club social media, to share ideas, positive messages, and acts of kindness
What we need
The Chain: The School
Counseling department will be placing cardstock strips of paper in your
mailboxes. One strip stapled together will make 1 link in the chain. If you
witness or hear of a student preforming an ACT of KINDNESS, please give that
student a link. The student is to quickly write their name on it, and if there
is time they can write down what they done. Then give the link back to you. If
you have time and like to SHOW OFF please staple the links together and hang it
down from you board from the little flag holder. If you do not have time to
staple those together now worries just let someone in counseling know and we
will be happy to help.
DRIVE: Along with the normal RACHEL’S FIRST 5, Monday’s Act of Kindness
starting Monday October 17 –November 18th (5 weeks) we are asking
every student to bring in 1 can food or non-perishable item. If my math is
correct “Thank you Math teachers” that is 1220 items a week 1220 links or more
each week grand total of 6,100 items. Leaving us only 2481 short of our goal in
which counseling will be partnering up with other member of the community and
YES, YOU. That’s right, feel free to help in this food drive and give yourself
a link or dedicate your link to someone else. The food will be collected every
Tuesday or Friday from your classroom during your planning period (not
interrupting your instructional time) and displayed in the cafeteria for students
to see the difference we are making every day. Oh Yeah, A big prize will be
given to the home room that collects the most cans.
Project: Whenever possible from now on we will be having F.O.R. Club member
tour new students. Please remind F.O.R Club members to invite the new student
to have lunch with the new student also.
Social Media: 8th
grade is in charge of social media. Feel to follow us @4ClubPkms on twitter or

all your help and support so that we can create a Chain Reaction throughout our
