As March comes roaring up on us and we have had 70 degree days in February it is tough for everyone not to feel the excitement of spring. In math, we have finished our non-calculator skills and are diving in to more of our concepts. Over the next week and a half we will be covering our introduction to algebraic concepts. Students will begin solving equations with variables. We will discuss substituting letters into mathematical problems. Please be sure that your student practices on IXL.com The objectives that cover our current unit are letter Z numbers 1-8. Please check the files tab for some algebraic and equation resources.
Homework Policy: IXL.com objectives K and L should be the primary homework over the next few weeks. Students should spend 15-20 min per night practicing if they do not have paper homework. Students have to practice! There will be homework. Students are NOT marked down for late homework. The purpose of this class is to master the material. My goal is for you to master it as quickly as you can do it correctly.
Remember that all Rubrics and Targets are available in the Files and Documents section.
