As a life science teacher, my goal is to provide my students with an understanding of change, patterns, and relationships in the living world. .
I graduated from the University of South Carolina – Aiken (USCA) with a bachelor of science degree in biology and completed my masters degree in education at Francis Marion University (FMU). For 15 years, I taught high school biology before moving to Virginia in 2014. Since August 2014, I have taught life science here at Parkside!
In class, students will learn Life Science through the “hands-on” approach. I encourage all students to discuss and review science topics at home with the family. Both parents and students have the opportunity to monitor students’ progress by using the County’s parent portal. Student will also be tracking grades on a regular basis through the use of data folders.
